He spent most of his journalistic career as a roving editor for Reader's Digest, but he worked for FJ in the 40s/50s. I have all of Dad's RD articles but wasn't aware of this FJ piece. I would like to print it off, but don't know how to do that in the black. Check this out:- The most powerful politician in the world need NOT bow to any other king or president (except Jesus Christ, of course) but he goes ahead and does the opposite. He has the power to stop abortion but he instead advocates (which is tantamount to decreeing) for the death of the unborn. Where did morality go? If America coughs, the whole world catches a cold. This calls for soberness in the decisions taken by the American leaders. I agree with the comment above, though, 2 Chronicles 7:14 has an answer for the land. The only reason he can unashamedly advocate for abortion is because his mother never aborted him.

Comment on Open Letter to President Barack Obama

"If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land." 2 Chron 7:14 This a call to pray for our country.

Comment on Why Bother

I get commentaries from Breakpoint.org and there was a good recent one on the IFI program that Prison Fellowship uses. Good stuff. There is a box to listen online to them. Our systems need to focus on reform--the mess stemming from a lack, loss, or simply a vacuum in morality can't be cured in a punishment-only system. (He sure says it better than that....)
I also believe that there is a purpose in having sex offenders listed, albeit maybe not All; to guard and warn those with vulnerable ones. I have heard from a professional source that there is no reforming a pediphile for instance. I still believe, however, that God still has the last word.
Thanks for listening, Tanya Nootenboom

Comment on To celebrate a life too short

You appear to be a polished writer, impressive.
